Less than a week after Scott Shane’s cheeky, but
nevertheless positive reporting
on “Washington
Whistleblower Week,” the New York Times editorial board
chimed in with an incredibly helpful editorial on
the need for strengthened whistleblower protections.
Say what you want about mainstream media, but the
Times absolutely nailed it with this one.
Summarizing the status quo during for government
truth-tellers during the Bush administration, the editorial notes,
“Whistle-blowers have been systematically denied, demeaned and demoted by
political appointees flouting laws designed to protect workers with the courage
to come forward.” No doubt…
It concludes with a plug for quick Senate action on
the landmark, bipartisan whistleblower protections, HR 985, passed by the House
earlier this year:
“The House has approved an overdue remedy that
would strengthen whistle-blower protection and the penalties for retaliators.
The measure is particularly important for extending protection to national
security workers so they feel freer to report misconduct and gaps in
antiterrorism defenses. One provision would bar a familiar tactic of
retaliation — the revocation of a complaining worker’s security clearance.
“The White House, of course, is threatening a veto,
claiming the measure weakens national security. Tell that to Coleen Rowley, who
quit the F.B.I. after documenting the agency’s failure to follow up on field
office warnings before the 9/11 attacks. In truth, it is vital for national
security that the Senate vote final approval of the measure with the same
veto-proof support shown by the House…”
Let’s hope the Senate is paying attention.

In reference to our conversation of a few moments ago
her are my 2 (two) additional blog comment reply to
Mr. Adam Miles recent 'NYT Edirorial on WPEA'.

Dear Readers, May 25, 2007
Good day. I hope as well as can be expected you and
all are well and fine. As well as can be expected, I
am well and fine.
Please allow me this bold follow-up thought and note
of interest for your additional consideration and
review. Last night on the CBS David Letterman Show,
former Vice-president and recent Academy Award
recipient Mr. Al Gore was the featured guest and spoke
comprehensively and at length in his appearance which
was allowed to absorb almost the entire broadcast.
Mr. Gore mentioned that his opinion as I recollect was
that one of the reasons our Country ended up in this
illegal and (my opinion; increasingly
unconscienceable) war and other misdoings is that our
legislatures and people have lost the sense of
Democracy and forthright, open and honest expression
that was much better decades ago and which may imply
our current legislatures and to some extent
dysfuctional. please note my opinion in conjunction
and/or seperate from my prior blog comment reply and
what I suggest is common sense provable fact is that
the inactment of the US death penalty is in apposite
of our US Constitution and Laws and most importantly
our US Constitution and is a primary opposition within
all religons and innaposite of all Democratic
countries in our world. Mr. Gore stated that we as a
country need to get back to the decades ago when we
had a much more open democracy and expression for
thought and ideas. Unfortunately and also hopefully
in salvation for Mr. Gore and his forthright
concern(s) he will inderstand this important
principle.
In accusatorial terms the implications could range
from deranged, despotic, maniacal, despotic, partners
of the devil, axis of evil, terrorist people with
influence and without the ability to self identify
their shortcommings for their benefit and salvation.
As is presume is well accepted by all Democratic
people is that none of us are God's or Devil's
although we all make daily choices that may and/or are
catagorized as in God's image and/or the
devil's image.
As this article states, 'Lets hope the US Senate is
paying attention' which I assume is within GAP's
efforts within the again Congressionally intended
Whistleblower legislation, my suggestion would be that
all these US legislatures and in allowing for
consideration for hopefully unanimous support this
whistleblower legislation that also they reflect on
some self-reflection and in my opinion "ALLOW FOR A
HEALING PROCESS AND DEMOCRACY WITH THE INTENT TO
DISCLOSE AND ALLOW FOR THE IDENTIFICATION(S) OF THE
PROBLEM(S) TO BE HEARD AND IN UNCORRUPTED,
UNDISTORTED, UNCOERCED MANNER AND WITHOUT THE ILLEGAL,
UNWARRANTED AND FRIVOLOUS SECRECY AND AS COMPLIANT
WITHIN OUR US CONSTITUTION AND OUR GREAT DEMOCRACY AND
THE IMPLIED WILL AND VOTE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE".
Thank you readers for all your patience and tolerance
and my apologies as again I have not re-read and/or
prrof read these recent posts for corrections and
mis-spellings and sentence structure which is aleays
an important consideration.
Thank you and all for your time and consideration.
Best of Luck, Wishes and Regards,
Sincerely,
Axel

Dear Gap, 5/25/2007
I hope in the near future you are able to bring your
posting system on line and post my additional post to
this article. I believe my additional post will also
and hopefully shed some proper and forthright insight
and reasonable common sense intelligence within our
legislatures whom are able to find the salvation
inference in my prior additional article that is yet
to be posted, so they can begin to hopefully properly
and forthrightly appeal to their funding and support
of the hearts and minds inference that appears to be
needed to have a proper, reasonable and forthright
application rather than this seemingly heinous and
corrupt interpretation we have all listened to an
suffered with for the past many years within this
illegally funded War and the other allegations I have
been consistent with and/or for decades.
Thank you and all for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Axel

May 28, 2007
As you may know many Generals have somehow and
apparently left this war, (Quit?=Is that possible?!,
fired, terminated, demoted), (retired, resigned
etc.=Is that possible?!), and some have gone on to
substantial acclaim and fortune from published Books,
Speeches, Speaking Engagements, CEO's//Board of
Director Position's I assume etc.). One has mentioned
and/or continually recently implied something to
effect that US War College strictly teaches and/or
instructs that all Democratic, Diplomatic and
Financial venues and/or avenues for peace must be
applied before War is an option. In conjunction with
and from several of my previous May 2007 writings and
in my opinion to a seemingly and/or most likely
reasonably and/or to some possible extent for
consideration that our leaders may possibly appear
dysfunctional and/or deliberately dysfunctional and/or
without the ability to self identify their
shortcomings that may be considered seemingly for a
more reasonably applied benefit and salvation. Let me
mention some observations for thought and hopefully
for a continuing insight for the best available
resolves.
1) The US enactment continued enactment of the death
penalty and implied final solution in support of our
US Constitution, Laws and Democracy is and continues
to be a preposterous application and assumption.
1a) Therefore in respect to the War College theory
and/or principle and as I mentioned in the opening
paragraph tends to reasonably suggest a serious
violation and/or impediment (and a topic that has not
been reviewed and discussed in conjunction with this
continuing initially Illegal War) weather it has our
Responsibility to Democracy received by others in the
most forthright and proper manner to the most
meaningful respect and regard of others and their
reasonably recognized as the worlds leading Democratic
Nations and Countries.
1b) Although it is comforting to acknowledge that
over 70% of our US people want an end to this War, and
not unlike the death penalty, which clearly implies
and end to the killing and disabling of people
especially innocent people requires the best available
proper and forthright action and not dysfunctional
action as we all witnessed by our anguishing and/or seemingly
much less than genuous Legislatures who had to make a decision to
vote on this ILLEGAL WAR funding bill that was a
preposterous dysfunctional bill that had no merit. In
hindsight I would expect an emergency bill for just
cause or some other applicable reasonable format could
be presented to rescind the prior legislative bill and
have a bill with a complete funding of our troops with
a Section A) to continue for the next fiscal year
until the Congressional and Senatorial Legislature's
act appropriately or vote on Section B) to continue
for the next fiscal year to bring our troops home
until the Congressional and Senatorial Legislatures
act appropriately. A time line was clearly not needed
and a clear deception to all. Please note their is a
third option that could be applied to the hypothetical
vote, Section C) to continue for the next fiscal year
while our Congressional and Senatorial legislatures
properly and forthrightly give our best application to
act appropriately.
Please note my prior recent blog comments and also I
am well assured that either I with a working group or
that one of the many most likely highly intelligent,
knowledgeable and viable people, groups and/or
organizations in Washington DC or elsewhere in the USA
could easily offer the US Senate Judiciary Committee
and/or with other Committees a demand request and
application process for a more correct course of
action as required and/or in compliance within our US
Constitution and implied in our US Bill of Rights with
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for all and
with the best available respect and regard to and for
god, man and country.
I thought it would be better if I tried to do at least
something this Memorial Day, therefore I wrote this
note that I hope is not an undue inconvenience.
Thank you and all for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Axel
